Meet the Trainers
Dionne Thomas
Dionne is the founder of Love and Lashes and has been in the lash and beauty industry for over 12 years. Multi award winning, Dionne is absolutely obsessed with all things lashes and has a real passion for teaching others not only the art of lashes but how to progress within the industry and grow their business. Hundreds of ladies have been trained and mentored by Dionne and so many of these women are flourishing in their own lash careers. Many have gone on to also win awards, open up their own salons and even progress into teaching themselves.
Although Dionne is qualified in a massive range of beauty treatments she chooses to focus solely on teaching lashes as this is where her passion and strongest expertise are.
Dionne's training is carried out from her salon Love and Lashes in Croydon. Full aftercare support is given to all students so that they are not just left to get on with it once the course has finished. This includes assessing students' work afterwards to offer advice and guidance on Absolutely everything. Be prepared to really talk lashes with Dionne when you send her your case studies. She is going to continue to support you for as long as you want her support and gets really passionate about giving her students this crucial feedback in their first few sets.
Dionne has set up a private Facebook group and a WhatsApp group for her students to give different ways to offer community and support. The Facebook group has lots of training content in there that students can watch back again in their own time to support them after their lash training in Croydon or London.
Demi
Demi is a highly qualified Lash Artist and Salon Owner, based in Battersea London.
Demi has been lashing for over 4.5 years and in this time has been committed to personal and professional development and has taken over 10 lash, brow and lip courses. Demi has also taken business courses and mentoring to ensure she adapts with her business, including training from Dionne, the academy's founder.
Demi quit her Sociology degree in her final year to pursue her passion for lashes, and start her own independent business. Demi opened her Salon in April 2021, after qualifying in lashes in 2018. She says it is the best thing she ever did, and believes her success (in such a short time) is down to her being consistent in her ongoing development, setting her goals and believing in herself.
She is passionate about teaching and helping other women to find a career that they love as much as she does.
As with all our trainers, Demi’s courses include aftercare and ongoing support including access to a private Facebook support group, free student refresher sessions and assessment of work completed once the course is over.
